One of our proudest features is the Speakeasy Negroni, made with our own Speakeasy Gin, crafted in collaboration with the National Distillery in Ahuriri, just across the road! This unique Negroni blends the bold, bittersweet flavours of Campari and sweet vermouth with the citrus and piney notes of our Speakeasy Gin, bringing a local twist to an international favourite.

At The Gintrap, we’ve reimagined the beloved Negroni with our very own Speakeasy Gin, created in collaboration with the local National Distillery. This gin is a harmonious blend of London Dry botanicals, including juniper, manuka honey, and crisp pear, our own reflection of the Hawke’s Bay. Using our own gin in our Speakeasy Negroni reinvents the classic Negroni by infusing it with the bright, local flavours of Hawke’s Bay, making it a unique and refreshing take on this international favourite.
With a balance of bittersweet Campari, rich vermouth, the smooth, floral notes of Speakeasy Gin with are emphasised with a dash of elderflower liqueur. Equal parts bold and balanced, this cocktail has become a local treasure.
